Gone
too soon is what they say
Gone
too soon is what we say
Gone
just in time is what the Master say
Some
might have trusted you
Others
may show mere concern,
While
many just oblige but for us you was the rock.
And
deep on the inside we love you dad
Gone
in your prime we might say and why we do not know.
Yet
there is one who looks, sees and understands.
To
him alone your time did truly come.
As
we whisper among ourselves we can hear you speaking
That
there is still work to be done sons, get to the task.
The
vineyard is still there and much sewing to be done.
Daddy
we cannot fill your shoe.
But
with pride we put them on, to carry on where you left off.
Knowing
that the task is hard and the laborers’ are few.
Gone
too soon for us is how we feel daddy dear.
Gone
too soon is what they say.
Yet
you have walked a road in our lives that no one else could.
You
thought us right from wrong and led by integrity
You
have walked the path with determination and grace.
Often
times we stumble and almost fall, but you kept us in line.
Looking
back you were the one to keep us all in check.
We
mourn your lost, celebrate your parting
But
your memories true will linger with us always.
Gone
too soon we have heard many say.
And
as we reflect daddy we believe you have done your best,
Now
resting in the arm, of the one who loves your best.
Saying my son you have run the race now
receive the trophy.
Gone
too soon we have heard many say
Your
race is finish son now let them carry on
For gone too soon from
this world is what they think,
But gone just in
time is what the Father says.
Gone too soon, yes gone
too soon.
