Come To The Light my Child

Looking back you divided the darkness and called the light day

And the darkness and the light

Is of equal worth in your sight?

Standing here on the other hand seeing the darkness

I cannot comprehend it at all

Yes Lord this sinner lost in the dark without you

Condemn dying, was I dying in a sinful state

Oh Lord lost without you is I

Lost in the wilderness of despair where sin

Held me bound for so many years

Wandering farther and farther away from your grace

Without seeing the barrenness in a no man’s land

Oh Lord life was hopeless before you came along

Dear Lord please does not leave me alone

And while you are looking down on earth

From Your heavenly throne upon sinful man,

Have mercy upon me also

Unable to find my way dear Lord help me

To understand your love for me

Oh what love revealed in his foretold destiny?

See He was there during the creation of the earth

Making me a part of His life through death

The very moment He stepped out into the void

Saw the emptiness and marked my nakedness,

You see He gave to me life before He came

Onto this earthly scene thousands of years ago

God in love and mercy through the blood

Sending me Christ His only begotten son

And now I can relate with the songwriter

Remembering I am your heavenly Father
